navi > backwards driving signal needed
« am: 02. Mai 2010, 17:02:30 »
Hi All,

trying to install my becker navi.
Behind the tacho, I found the speed pulse (thanks to the lexicon) but my becker has a "backwards driving signal" input as well
would i need that? where can i find it?

Hi,

I assume that would be a 12V signal from the reverse light, so the navi knows that the tacho signal reads the other direction.
AFAIK this is used to increase the position "guesstimation" of the system when there is no GPS signal available.
So it probably won't be absolutely required.

Errr, no.  :(

But again Heiko has a picture....  8)

Lexikon -> Gearbox

Upper picture, the right arrow shows the switch for the reverse light.

The wiring harness to the rear lights runs under the left door. Don't know what the colorcode of the cable is though.  :nixweiss:

Hi drustonl,
I have installed in my barchetta a Becker radio.
The reverse signal, I have not connected. It still works fine.
